Thoughts from night 1 up until 2pm EST Saturday

Galaga

TOP PLAYER(S) -

Kilby: By far playing the strongest game so far. He found the idol for his tribe, but is doing a good job downplaying his progress with everyone else. He has won the favor of Taylor, who I'm predicting will be his right hand woman on the tribe. Spitzer and Ryan also seem to like him, as indicated by Ryan discussing liking him in his production chat and Spitzer seeming to talk to him the most 1 on 1. Kilby seemingly will target Jackson first due to him being "boring" and I don't see anyone trying to change this.

MIDDLE OF THE ROAD -

Taylor: Left a strong impression with Kilby, and is doing a really good job being social and selling herself as likable and active. She falls on the upper - middle of the road category because some of the other guys have expressed wanting to work with each other and haven't vocalized wanting working with her, though I'm sure this will happen as time progresses.

Spitzer: Playing a solid low key game. Kilby/Ryan have expressed liking him in their private chats, but he doesn't seem to be anyone's #1 quite yet. I am confident he will be pulled into any majority alliance that forms.

Ryan: Is really branching out and trying to talk to everyone. Only time will tell what kind of impression he leaves on people, because nobody has really talked about him LOL. He is waaaay more active than I thought he would be, so I don't see him being the first boot.

IN DANGER? -

Gina: Gina did not show up night 1, which a few people have brought attention to. That is never good. Kilby has expressed wanting to work with her due to him liking her "vibe," which might be her saving grace. If Kilby can scoop her up, she will be in a good position despite her gameplay. Her social game has stepped up today, and she has reached out to most of her tribe. She just has some ground to make up and she really isn't doing much strategically.

Jackson: Virtually no impression. He sat on the call silent the whole time and just looked at people. He probably has more ground to make up than Gina due to the fact that Kilby does not look at Jackson fondly. Likely the first book.

TOP PLAYER(S)

Nicholas: Nicholas is not only in a 3 person alliance, but he is the only person on the tribe that knows Malkon has the idol. The alliance he is in provides him some numbers protection with Aly and Malkon, and Kari has also made it the most clear with Nicholas that she wants to work with him. He is by far doing the best job socially.

Malkon: He is so far up due to the 3 person alliance, as well as the fact that he found the idol for his tribe. The reason I have him below Nicholas is because it's very transparent how aggressively he is playing this game. I don't see him being targeted first, but I also wouldn't be shocked if people become intimidated by Malkon.

MIDDLE OF THE ROAD -

Van: Malkon has expressed loving Van, and Van seems to be keeping up consistent communication with everybody. Not sure where their strategic game will fall, however, because this tribe is already a web of people liking each other.


IN DANGER?

Kari: Malkon has expressed being shaded out by Kari, due to a few seemingly meaningless comments she made on the night 1 call about private conversations she's had with others. I'm personally confused by this.. because I assumed this was a given that people were going to talk privately? She could also be in danger due to not being in any sort of alliance, but that's the case with half of this tribe. She really needs to leave a strong impression with Nicholas so he can pull her into something.

Ben: Nobody has expressed hating Ben, but at the same time there is not a lot of "I love Ben" going around. He is playing a good enough game, but the problem with not leaving an impression is that if people opt to do a pain free vote come tribal, it's the players like Ben who go. Hoping to see Ben step it up today.

Aly: Was pulled into the 3 person alliance, but besides that Aly has not done too much to leave an impression. She is perceived as the "sweet girl." Definitely a lower tier player, though I don't perceive her as in immediate danger. Will probably be the sheep of the tribe.






Zaxxon

TOP PLAYER(S)

Antoinette: The biggest 180 turnaround of the game for me. Preseason I did not expect much from her, but she is doing great socially and is initiating contact with everyone. Strategically, she is also putting in tons of effort looking for the idol. She is at the top of my list because she has multiple people HONESTLY telling her about their idol progress - including Gaston, Ali, and Marcellino.

Ali: Has not turned into a hot mess express yet!! He is super consistent about his communication with people, and people seem engaged in their conversations with him. This tribe is weird because I have no clue what majority is going to form, but I have a strong feeling he'll be in whatever forms.

Gaston: Is putting in tons of effort looking for the idol, and has formed a great relationship with top player Antoinette. I am curious to see how the rest of the tribe perceives him moving forward.

MIDDLE OF THE ROAD

Marcellino: He left a funky impression on the night 1 call because his background noise was well... loud. He is also being super persistent in private messages about the idol hunt. I could see some people appreciating the straight forwardness Marcellino brings to the tribe, but I could see others being confused by it.

Jumi: She is talking to a lot of people privately in messages, but on a tribe that is initiating a lot of strategy she has yet to initiate. I am curious to see if she makes up ground as the round progresses.

IN DANGER?

Alexander: Nobody has said much about him, and I have not seen him have conversations with anyone that could be considered meaningful. If they were to go to tribal right now, I think he'd be on the chopping block due to not leaving really any impact.

Malkon has been knocked down to middle tier until further notice... he is double messaging everybody and is clearly anxious that people aren't responding to him 24/7... which is literally due to everyone being busy. He needs to bring his paranoia in a bit.

Alexander making a turnaround from my night 1 impression of him. I think he's definitely moved up to a middle tier player on the tribe while the middle tier players are slowly falling.


An alliance was created with Alexander/Ali/Antoinette/Gaston.

That leaves Jumi/Marcellino on the bottom though PRAYING 4 JUMI I HOPE MARCELLINO FLOPS! Jumi has plans to call ppl soon so I still have faith.



Gina seems to be climbing the ranks too. Not only did she initiate a tribe call, but she's coming off super dynamic in every convo I've seen her in today. Not a strategic force yet but still is socially killing it.

Idol Update - Kilby, Malkon, Marcellino have found the idols.

Update/opinions regarding each tribe (as of Sunday at 1:30pm) -


Galaga - Ryan wants to keep the men working together and target Gina first and Taylor second which is.. ew. Kilby has expressed in his production chat, however, that he wants to work with the women. Plus Kilby is basically loving Gina rn. I still think Jackson could leave first on this tribe but I could see the vote getting a bit complicated.



Zaxxon - I have NO clue who leaves on this tribe. There is a chat of Alexander/Ali/Antoinette/Gaston, but all 4 of them have a solid working relationship with Jumi, and then Marcellino has the idol. I don't think we'll know who's gonna leave on this tribe until they have to go to tribal.



Xevious - Malkon sees Ben and Kari as on the outs, but Nicholas loves Kari, Kari loves Ben, then Malkon loves Van and Nicholas. Aly is in a 3 person chat with Malkon and Nicholas.. it's a lot. I think that Van or Aly could leave first if Nicholas pushes his agenda, and Kari or Ben could leave if Malkon pushes his. I think it realisically SHOULD be Aly because she's not having deep convos with anyone, but this tribe is going to be a mess if they lose.

This episodes TOPIHTA (thoughts on people I have thoughts about)

Nicholas: Seems to not be in any trouble at all, everyone likes him, if he really wants someone to stay or go this round I think he could make it happen. Or he could just go with the flow with what some of his allies wanna do. 

Malkon: I love a fellow crackhead but he seems to be doing a lot, some of his word choices in conversations have me cringe a little and to me would be so off-putting. I think he'll probably be fine on this tribe but could see him in trouble if they end up going to tribal a lot. 

Antoniette: My favorite newbie! She seems to be getting along well with everyone. Has a lot of one on one calls with everyone and is actually talking substance with them. I think she'll make it far in this game. 

Kari: Love that Nicholas and Ben seem to like Kari. Malkon seems sketched by what was some innocuous comments, but I don't think he could get votes on her if he even wanted to. 
Ryan: Not too high on him, I think he's already let a lot slip that could be used against him already and they haven't even lost a challenge. 

Ben: Very high on him pre-season, then he didn't make the first impression I assumed he would, seems to be repairing a lot of that. 

Aly: Seemed to get off to a good start, getting in that 3 person alliance with 2 of the bigger personalities in the tribe. But if Nicholas doesn't want to vote Kari and Malkon doesn't want to vote out Van this round I could see her being a compromise vote.

Spitzer: Seems to just be in a fine spot, I don't really see a way he goes home before the swap. 

I'm sure I'll have more thoughts on people once more confessionals come in.

Van/Aly preferences are unclear.


It seems like everybody is going to have their own targets going into this round... and I think there are going to be some clashing opinions. I'm excited to see who gets their way

MALKON IS SO MESSY LMAOOO VILLAIN OF THE TRIBE I GUESS! He's just being very transparent about his game, and I'm shocked a ton of people haven't brought it up yet. He's no longer a top tier player but the messiness is fun.

First off... devastated XEVIOUS lost...they are the most entertaining tribe to me at the moment and I have all my eggs in this basket with Nicholas, Ben and Aly my fantasy draft and Malkon as my suicide pick for the round.

I think it's clear Malkon is playing fast and Nicholas has to be smart enough to see it. I think Nicholas should rely on his bonds with Ben and Kari and be cautious since he knows Malkon has an idol. Since Malkon feels close with Van, it might be a good plan for Nicholas to vote out Van to please two people and weaken Malkon's power. Afterwards, if Malkon has no where else to go, Nicholas can repair the relationship. If they take out Aly, there will be less manuveribility for Nicholas in future rounds.

Marcellino has the idol, but seems to be the least connected. Will he know he is in trouble if they end up going to tribal or will his plan to paint the target on someone else having the idol work? I wasn't high on him coming into the game, but this is an interesting development when the rest of the tribe seems better connected.

Kilby has to save his tribe from Ryan targeting the women. We don't like to see that in All Out. Come up with legitimate reasons for targets...not gender bias.

Round 1 thoughts -

Blue - Gaston, Jumi, Marcellino seem like standouts from the little I've seen from this tribe. They beasted the comp, so they may not be seeing tribal anytime soon.
Marcellino seems like a busy guy but managed to snag the idol. Jumi sounds like she had a bit of a rough start but I think she'll be okay for a while given her history.
Kilby is aware of her live game history so that may come into play down the line. Gaston is a skype vet and seems active judging by his confessional, I could see him leading this tribe.

Gray - Ryan is a meninst... Rubbing Kilby the wrong way. Sounds like everyone else likes him, but Kilby should be easily able to do him in with a few leaks if he chooses.
And I wouldn't be surprised if Kilby went after him the first time this tribe goes to tribal. He has already hinted that he might. Ryan is all about going after the girls and Kilby likes to work with females and seems to be hitting it off with both Taylor and Gina, so Ryan might be in real danger very soon. Which is fine by me if he's targetting women for being women... bye.
Kilby unsurprisingly seems to be in a great spot. he's good with the girls, he's good with the guys.
Joshua - I had high hopes for him. I fear he's too closely aligned with Ryan who could be on a sinking ship. He also rubbed kilby the wrong way in the challenge by talking too much...
Gina - could be in danger if the guys stick together but hopefully Kilby will save the day
Taylor - Need to see a confessional from her but Kilby really likes her so that's good. And she isn't the guys first target so she should be able to survive this tribe even if Kilby sticks with Ryan.

Pink - Malkon is greatly over playing. Should have kept his thoughts on Kari to himself for now since he seems to realize everyone else likes her.
Kari - Malkon is after her but I think she'll be fine. Everyone else is a fan so I don't see him getting his way. Even Aly ratted him out. Her social skills are really shining. Hitting it off with Nicholas and Ben.
Nicholas - Def the star of the tribe. has two three person groups. Should be able to dictate which way this vote goes.
Van - Based on their lengthy into video I thought they'd be more of a factor. Could see them being a default consensus boot. Most people seem to like them but there
arent many options and to my understanding, they're the only one without a group chat so far.
Ben - I don't know if he'll be as good as I thought he would be after his intro but still seems to be in a good spot. He's bonded with Nicholas and Kari. I'd say these are def the most social people
on this tribe and will be a group to watch.
Aly - is aly. Seems to be protected by Malkon even though he says he's not bonding with her. She ratted him out a bit to Kari so we'll see what happens if that gets back to him.
So I think either Malkon will play himself out of the game this round or Van will get the boot.

Kari told Nicholas that Aly told her that Malkon said he didn’t vibe with her (Kari). Aka Aly has loose lips about Malkon’s feelings. Nicholas acted shocked but still isn’t being 100% transparent to Kari. Kari saying she vibes with Malkon but finds it weird what aly is saying and doesn’t know what her angle is. Kari told Nicholas that he’s her person and he agreed. She seems to be doing a REALLLLLY GOOD JOB selling herself, and Nicholas low key needs to vote Aly out. If Nicholas does this, he positions himself in an amazing spot between Kari/Ben and Malkon/Van. I’m so scared Nicholas won’t see this as the right move when it clearly is. NICHOLAS MAKE THE SMART MOVE. Smart move > easy move.

Proud of Nick for doing the smart thing and taking some control. If the Nick-Ben-Kari-Van foursome ends up actually happening I’d be so happy. Sounds like Ben gave Nick more than enough to take to Van to get them to want to vote out Aly.

Nicholas has played this round so perfectly!!! He has convinced Malkon that Aly needs to go, and Kari is doing a great job selling the pitch to Malkon as well. Aly made a huge mistake telling Kari that Malkon is shaded out by her.. and that ammo has been weaponized perfectly. Aly is about to leave and Nicholas is about to be the middle man. Nicholas’s power cannot go unnoticed.

Leanna's thoughts on the calls and messages she's read:

This round has been a quick one so it's hard to follow everyone's interactions. Some main relationships I've watched this round are Kilby/Taylor, Malkon/Nick and Antoinette and her tribe mates.

The first call of the whole game was Taylor/Kilby 1 on 1. This reaction made me certain Taylor was here to play. However, nearly 30 minutes into the tribe call someone asked her if she had played Survivor Maryland, since she went there and knew me, instead of outright lying or saying yes she said an awkward "I've been around/ seen it around". People instantly clocked this as a lie in their prod chats. I was expecting her to be much more active but she is almost INV this round other than when she calls Kilby. I hope she can catch on to this because I really want her to do well. She seems to be Kilby's number one though and he is the most in power in the tribe 100%. 

Malkon had a very strong start but immediately sank down after night one. He became almost obsessive with Nick, getting upset if he didn't respond in like a few hours. He would be able to come back from this if he can just take a big chill pill... Also, it was a little disappointed to see how much he is depending on prior connections and people he knew from around the community. I think if he went for a fresh start he would have done much better.

Antoinette is -really- excelling with the communication right now for a new player. A lot of people feel super close to her right now which is greatly helping her game. 


Anyways... I'm gonna rank game play on each tribe because why not:

I tend to base this off of activity, whether they were or are in danger, how they handle that, and who has the most control. If I ranked people in general a lot of people would be higher or lower but some tribes have some not so great gameplay goin on and others are like very active and even.
