Alright, I have returned from the Abyss that I fell into like 10 rounds ago.
The first three rounds of merge have been very clearly defined by voting blocks. There are specific groups that tend to vote together more often but no specific majority alliance. This has made for a lot of very different groups switching power which has created mobility in the game.
If I had to rank players by who I think has had the best gameplay it would be: Alex Antoinette Josh Kilby Gaston Marcellino Ryan
If I had to rank who I actually think will make it to the end and get votes: Antoinette Kilby Gaston Alex Josh Marcellino Ryan
I think Alex is setting himself up fairly well, and is 100% playing the best game. However, I know some people are aware of this so IDK if he will be able to actually make it to the end. I think he has played an amazing social-strategic style game and I really hope he can make the end but this season has been so unpredictable with all of the voting blocks so far.
Antoinette is also playing a stellar game. I think people know this more than they do with Alex tho, she would also have to face a very bitter Kari and Ben if she ends up against Marcellino or Ryan who are apparently the only people Kari or Ben want to vote for... RIP, gotta hate a bitter jury.
Josh is an amazing strategic player and will likely make the end. I don't see him getting many votes though because he is not liked by other players. He has amazing reads and knows exactly what to do but a bitter jury will definitely tank him.
Kilby is.... a character. He made a decent amount of not so great strategic moves like voting out Ben, and burning an alliance that would have really benefitted him long run. BUTTT he is making a really good comeback from losing Taylor especially after recieving no votes last night!
TBH IDK much about Gaston and IDK why that is, maybe I miss his calls or something. Overall, I think he is playing pretty well but I don't really know who he is with right now bc I never see him on call. He's one of those players I forget when writing tribal questions LOL.
Marcellino is a decent strategic player. I never tend to give much credit to telling people you have an idol, especially how he told literally everyone and was forced to play it so early on. I believe he has also told people about the second one which I found interesting. I don't think he is rly putting much effort in to take himself off the bottom at all.
Lastly, Ryan. I don't like his game at all TBH. He basically tried to quit and then miraculously Taylor went instead of him. I think him blowing up after Ben went, someone who I might add he was not even that close with... was a terrible move. He proved that he is not adaptable and can't bounce back. He is not in because of his own doing, Taylor and Kari were just actual threats to win. I only see him winning if Kari and Ben convince other jurors to join their train of bitterness.

Alexander- After the Taylor vote off, Alexander promised Spitzer he could have the next target be his choice and so voting out Kari was mostly to appease Spitzer and maintain a relationship that Alexander still thinks no one is fully aware of. What he really isn't aware of is that Spitzer is not planning to stay loyal and he may just have kept the person in the game who will take him out.
Antoinette- She's the last woman standing and the last hope for All Out to have an all female winner's hall of fame, but does she have it in her? The question I've been asking all season. She had no clue what was going to be happening in the last vote despite being in the power seat with allies who did know what was going to happen. She's playing a loyalty game, but heading to face a bitter jury that loyalty doesn't mean a damn thing because she didn't have any for them.
Gaston- His eyes are open after an unnecessary tied vote at tribal council was orchestrated to help his allies maintain relationships and appearances with other people. But Gaston isn't sure what to do, if he turns on the homework club now he believes he will get a lot of backlash, but he can tell he is just around as a number for them. Sometimes the dramatic way that Gaston talks about the game makes me think he's talking about something much more exciting then what I'm actually watching 🤷🏻
Spitzer- He finally had the light bulb moment of realizing that relationship building is important and that he really screwed that up earlier. But he chose to wedge himself in with people he already knew and now he has a specific boot order that must happen to even have the slightest chance at getting some jury votes. Alexander, Kilby, and Gaston are on his list to go...but will he be able to have things line up that way? Let's hope not😝
Ryan- He feels lost without Kari in a sea of liars. He blames social media for creating a culture of liars because why not at this point? Will he stir things up again or just circle the drain waiting for things to end? I'm not even sure he would trust someone if they came to him with a plan at this point.
Marcellino- He told Alexander he had the merge idol. Why? I have no idea. Marcellino had so much ammunition to carve a path to final three at the beginning of the merge, but it's like his gunpowder got wet and he just shrugged his shoulders, walked over to the his enemies camp and is like 'Sup? I could have blown you up, but now I'm just going to get high...is that cool?' 🤦🏻
Kilby- He thought it was going to be him last vote and then when it tied and he had no votes, he started adamantly cackling and calling for everyone to go to rocks. Has he lost his mind!?! And will he mind it in time to actually make a move this round that gives him a chance of making it to the end? I feel like Kilby is King Lear...is he insane or is it just an act? And now that his kingdom has crumbled (due to his questionable leadership) is there a path back to the throne?

Alexander is about to make a huge move and flip on Gaston, which honestly I am not sure what is going to happen to his game as a result of this move. He is a HUGE threat, and I wonder if people will be ready to take the shot after Alexander's 4th consecutive deciding vote... He's been an amazing villain and I've loved watching him play so fearlessly. I can only hope we have a winner so good. Kilby has shifted from the "let me try to be supreme ruler" gameplay to "the best I can do is Sandra this" type gameplay, and honestly I think the shift is fitting. He has not made the smartest moves prior to this round, but he is doing everything to recover this round and I really respect it. I still think the target on his back makes him too scary to win the game, but watching Kilby play from the bottom is waaaaay better than watching him play from the top. Gaston is the perfect example of orgers who wait 1 round too late to make a move. He is convinced that he is in the middle, and that he has all the resources to vote somebody like Alexander out after this round. Little does he know... Alexander has already flipped on him and is in the process of signing his death warrent. Antoinette has played too much of a loyal game, blindly trusting her OG alliance Alexander/Gaston. With Gaston potentially leaving this round, I hope Antoinette learns that she can't trust anyone in this game and decides to go on a revenge tour. She hasn't had any real adversity to face this game, and great players are made in the face of adversity. A blindside would be really good for her and her journey. Marcellino has had no development as a character in these past few rounds, but is still doing a good job floating. Good for him. I wonder why nobody is threatened by his idol, since most of the game knows about it!! If he survives this round, he has a free pass to 5. I wonder what happens to him after this though. Ryan continues to be a funny character, watching him react to being blindsided round after round has been amazing. He's been an OTT character, but he's also done enough to survive these next few votes. I won't be shocked if we see a scenario where Ryan makes the end, articulates his story, and gets a few votes. Spitzer has been MIA this round due to his college orientation, but nobody seems to be threatened by him. I hope he comes back soon and makes things crazy again. I would do rankings, but the edgic this season pretty much speaks for itself

Doing a second post to say that I cant believe Alexander is flipping on Gaston/Antoinette LMAO like... is Gaston ready to flip? Absolutely, but if Alexander goes through with this then he really clocked Gaston's plan right on time. Not a round early or not a round late. The intuition is so good.
The person who is in need of development after this round is Antoinette.. that with the fact that she's our last female, I realllly need her to turn it up for the final few votes.
I also can't believe Kilby is still here, he's literally been the vote for the last 2 rounds and then something happens last second and it's like "o nvm Kilby stays (-:." It's so funny and I love the unpredictability! Hope this continues till the end.
