KILBY BLINDSIDE HAPPENING TONIGHT??? We all knew Kilby made a horrible move last round by burning his clear numbers in Kari/Ryan (who are not as forgiving as he would hope hehe) in order to protect the superior players in the game, but I didn't think it was going to backfire this round LMFAO. Kilby is paranoid, but I am not sure if he is going to know to play the idol tonight. This is a lesson to all the players out there... do not burn your numbers earlier than you have to, especially when it's for a huge group of question marks.
Kari/Ryan are literally doing so well campaigning this round and I'm proud of them :') They HUSTLED the fuck out of Antoinette and Alexander, and they seem to be absorbing everything that comes their way. Spitzer doesn't think this is the right move, which it necessarily doesn't help him? But also Spitzer is not going to ruin this plan. Marcellino benefits from this. Alexander CLEARLY benefits from this and his winners edit is going to continue. Gaston and Antoinette also seem on board to take Kilby out. I am curious to see how tonight plays out because I have NO clue if they're going to be able to keep the plan low key enough.

KILBY HAVING A MELTDOWN... time to see if he's as savvy as he thinks he is and can pick up on the social cues that he might die tonight. Stay tuned.

Also look at Marcellino, he's going to easily make 6 at this rate, making it to 5 with his idol, then he just needs to win 2 more challenges... underdog winner edit?

Gaston is very 50/50 on whether the move against Kilby needs to happen or not - he tells Alexander that if this needs to happen he would rather vote in the minority because Kari has already written him off, plus he doesn't wanna burn Taylor so soon? Assuming Antoinette and Alexander go through with the move, this makes it 5-4 against Kilby assuming things don't go crazy again for the millionth time? We know Kari/Ryan/Marcellino are 10000% sold. Alex is 10000% sold. Antoinette is paranoid but will likely follow Alex. Spitzer and Gaston only care about saving face. Taylor/Kilby are in soooo much trouble rn. Alexander is heavily pushing his agenda.
Kilby/Taylor officially know that they are in trouble, Kilby has told Taylor about the idol. With this huge alliance running the game... I am shocked to hear that they still blame Kari for this mess.. Kari is good but the power is not with Kari this round, it's 1000% Alexander who SHOULD be leaving this round but I don't think they realize... so gross. Good on Alexander though for being the strategic mastermind/puppet master of this merge.
*Note - They are talking about potentially idoling Alexander out - which would be a super genius move because that dismantles the ENTIRE majority that is running this game. Let's see if they realize it or if they backtrack again.*

This round was a slip'n slide of disasters one after another as players bumbled into each other and made very questionable decisions.
Ryan is losing his mind on everyone for being left out of the Ben vote and it's honestly the most excited I've been for Ryan all season. If you're not going to be good at the game at least be good TV and calling people out in the tribe chat is good TV, so thank you for that Ryan.
Marcellino decides to tell Kari and Ryan about having another idol. For someone who usually plays a solo game at merge, he's unifying quite a rag tag crew.
Kari is once again being called a liar by Kilby because he's charmed by Alexander who is actually trying to feed him lies. But then he gets a gut feeling something is fishy, but it's too late because he has ticked off too many people.
But in case his gut feeling wasn't enough, Gaston with the gift of gab decides to read a message from Spitzer out loud while on a call with Kilby saying that 'things have blown up in the past 30 minutes'. That's not suspicious at all, way to go Gaston 🤦🏻
Kilby finally comes clean to Taylor that he had the Galaga tribe idol and I guess it felt so good to finally say that he continued the idol reveal party to Antoinette, who was planning to blindside him...so that went well🤷
Time to shift the target...
#KariRevengeTour finally strikes and takes out Taylor for yanking the chain one too many times! And the peasants rejoiced. Kilby also plays his idol unsuccessfully due to his loose lips. Bad moves catch up quick to you. All it took was Kari pledging her allegiance to the United States of Alex and Antoinette to really get the ball rolling!

Gaston didn't want to outwardly break trust with Kilby and Taylor, so he voted with them on the minority vote. He also didn't have the backbone to tell Alexander and Antoinette no, even though he didn't want the move to happen. So he tried to pretend he was also blindsided. But Kilby sees through that and knows that Gaston had knowledge of how the vote was ultimately going to go down, plus Gaston voted for Kari again continuing to sour any remaining ounce of relationship that could have been there. Gaston is so worried about other people blowing up his game, he is oblivious to the ways he has already begun to do that himself.
Spitzer was filled in on the plan to get Kilby out from Alexander, which he was ultimately fine with since he had no intention of playing long term with Kilby, but Taylor was part of his long term game and her ultimately leaving was not in his favor and he knows it. Spitzer now sees it as permission to deviate from his 'final three' deal with Alexander, who he knows will destroy him in the end. To this point, I agree with his thinking. Until he mentions that Ryan and Kari are 'big cogs in his game that just won't work in his favor'. So he still wants them out🤦🏻 At this point if Kari is on the jury, she is never voting for Spitzer, so he should want to sit with her at the end. As for Ryan, he should be trying to mend that relationship if he wants a chance at getting Alexander out before the end. But Spitzer plays in absolutes and the idea of playing with anyone who insults him was not in his original game plan. But will he change it up? Or continue down the losing finalist path?
Kilby posts "Taylor deserved better" and I agree, but we saw this outcome coming from the early game. She was a loyal member of King Kilby's court and was with him through every iteration of the game. And while she mentioned taking him out at some point, she was drunk with power and made too many bad vote out decisions with him that the window of separating herself from Kilby disappeared and once the others found out about his idol, she was the next best target. My hope for Taylor was that she realized how much stronger of a game she could have played without Kilby much earlier on and solidified stronger relationships that didn't immediately get burned with other players. I guess too many previous game wins had begun to make Taylor feel invincible.

Well... everything I predicted regarding everything flipping on Taylor and Kilby came true. Even though it was Kilby leaving for most of the day, paranoia led to the plan shifting to Taylor in hopes of Kilby flushing his idol. I am hoping that this vote snaps Kilby back into reality and he realizes that he needs to stop burning the people who want to work with him. Alexander/Antoinette don't care about him on a game level, and Spitzer and Gaston see him as a means to an end. I am hoping that we see a positive shift in his game as a result of this blindside.
Spitzer is playing crazy strategic right now, and is starting to express that he does not think he can beat Alexander, who we have all pegged as the puppet master. If Spitzer is able to keep Kilby in the game long enough to flip things onto Alexander, then it would be the move of the season. Despite all of this, however, Spitzer has a long way to go if he hopes to gain any jury votes. He needs to start managing the jury, otherwise I see him in a losing finalist position.
Alexander is still playing a dominant game, but the fact that he has had so much power these last few rounds puts him in danger of being stabbed in the back by his numbers. He has made his winner potential way too obvious by allowing his allies to blame him for the move against Taylor, and my opinion is starting to shift from "Alexander is going to win" to "Alexander is gonna fall hard, because threats are always killed before finals."
Antoinette is playing very middle of the road right now. Kari has acknowledged that Kari is playing better than she initially thought, and her managing to get Kilby to confess about the idol and allowing him to flush it was great. Antoinette's problem still falls from the fact that she has yet to build a resume for herself, and all of her moves stem from her allies. I hope if Alexander leaves, Antoinette turns it up instead of crumbling.
Gaston managed to be in the know in regards to everything that was happening last round, and he has managed to sell his cover story to everyone in the sense that literally everyone thinks Gaston is on their side. If he is able to take out players like Kari and Ryan soon, I think Gaston is slowly emerging as a potential winner.
Ryan is a great character and watching him blow up on the tribe was amazing!! He called everyone out for their shadiness, while the typical response is to play in fear. I love his lack of fear. He is not showing that he is the most strategically savvy, but I'm having a lot more fun watching Ryan now. He lives to entertain, I am not shocked why he was cast on an actual reality show xD
Marcellino - He is still playing a very textbook floater game. He is doing literally what he needs to do to get himself far, and he's doing an amazing job playing the game from an individual perspective. Because he has the idol, I see a world where Marcellino makes the end. I am just curious if he can make a resume strong enough to win a jury over... but also I guess he doesn't need to because he's not burning people. He's got a solid chance to win right now because he's not the frontrunner, but he's also not a target in a forseeable future. Those people win orgs all the time.
Kari is amazingly entertaining, and played the last round beautifully in being able to get Alexander/Antoinette to flip on Kilby/Taylor. She is everything I love seeing in a player, but she is too obviously a threat to have any serious shot at winning. How sad because she'd be an amazing person to add to the hall of fame!

My prediction for episode 10.... the power starts to fall out of Alexander/Antoinette's hands, and we see the power fall into Spitzer and Gaston's hands. I am curious if they will independently push their agenda this round or if they will continue to buy time. If they are able to push the target onto Kari and off Kilby, while also saving face with Alexander/Antoinette, then I think we will see them both at the end game.
The funny thing is that they are both doing the same thing totally independent of each other, and I don't think they realize it. They both benefit from trying to rope in Kilby, saving face with Alexander/Antoinette, being cordial with Marcellino, and targeting the other two. I wonder if they will become threatened by each other down the line?

Aaaaaand just like that, it appears that Marcellino is giving the power back to Alexander. Not only has he told Alexander about the idol, but he is entertaining the idea of voting out Kilby... which benefits Alexander more than anyone else. If Kilby goes, Alexander is 99% going to win the game... this is because there is no chance Joshua will have the numbers to rally against him next round. Disappointed in Marcellino for putting the power in other people’s hands for pretty much the rest of the game.

The fact that gaston made the move to vote into the last round to get Kilby on his side just to follow Alexander’s lead on this vote is... kind of gross? Gaston really shouldn’t leave people in the game who aren’t going to benefit him (such as Kari), but he’s too trusting of Alexander and is going to vote out another number. This season is just full of people making moves for other people. I really want something exciting to happen in the last 40 minutes. I NEED to see Spitzer’s reaction to things shifting, because I’m not sure how he’ll take it.

JOSHUA IS BLOWING UP TO GET HIS WAY LMAO I LOVE IT! I know his jury management hasn’t been great, but Joshua is someone who isn’t afraid to push his own agenda and I really respect his gameplay these last few rounds. Regardless of if Joshua can get his way this round or not, I’m excited to see what crazy stuff he tries to pull off moving forward.

Joshua just got his way.... and Alexander just made a potentially game losing decision by cracking at the VERY last minute. Mad props to Spitzer but this game just opened up a lot.
