Here's how mastermind works for those of you who do not know -
On the left, you have 8 different colors that could potentially be in the sequence. You have red, yellow, green, blue, purple, magenta, black, and orange. On the right, you have 5 possible spots in a row (each row signifies different guesses you can fill into the board), meaning that the correct sequence will be 5 colors. It is important to note that no colors will be repeated in the sequence. The way you find the correct sequence is by making a guess on your confessional board, and using the information you get to help you make your next guess, and so on until you get it correct. When you post a guess, production will tell you how many you have correct in sequence, but in the wrong spot, and how many you have in the correct spot. Here's an example:
Correct sequence (example only) - Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange
Guess - Black, Blue, Yellow, Magenta, Orange
From this, production would tell you that you have the following -
1 correct in sequence, but in wrong spot (yellow)
2 in the correct spot (Blue & Orange)
When production gives you this information regarding your guess, it is important to note that we will not tell you which colors are correct in any way - meaning you will have to guess and check your work. You will have the opportunity to guess the sequence every 8 hours in your confessional thread, we will use time stamps on the boards to dictate everything regarding this idol hunt. In order to start your idol hunt, you must post a number 1-10 below. These numbers will be first come first serve. This number will determine which random sequence you must solve to get the idol, meaning you will not have the same answer as anyone else. Side Note - These sequences are predetermined and the answers (and timestamps the sequences were randomized) will be revealed post season if need be, for the sake of fairness.
